Snacks for your stay in the hospital. Sometimes I got hungry during the night while nursing baby and needed something like nuts or cookies. Be sure to take something to write down the birth experience while it is fresh in your mind-your computer or a journal. Take your own pillow if you want one and a nursing pillow if you are nursing. Sometimes hospical pillows are now that great. Extra panties in case. Socks. Camera. Check book for buying those newborn pictures. I forgot my toothbrush once. Get an extra and pack it now.

One thing I forgot was...a coming home outfit for myself! Nothing fancy, but I ended up going home in the same outfit I arrived in. You probably don't want to have those "leaving the hospital" photos in your PJs, either.
