My family's favorite tradition is grabbing a football for an impromptu game after dinner...and before the Dallas Cowboys play, of course!

My family's favorite tradition is spending the day together getting the food ready, then sitting down and enjoying it together.

Putting on my great grandmother's apron while cooking the Thanksgiving meal provides a family heritage connection which is a tradition for me. For our family, we have a basket full of books pertaining to Thanksgiving. We read some of those leading up to T'giving and one the day of. We have our family over to eat and anyone who may not be near family such as a college student. We also watch football and relax then play games.

Our favorite Thankgiving Day family tradition is going around the dinner table giving every one a chance to mention one thing they are thankful for. It's so fun to hear each response and opens up for deeper conversations.

Having a huge potluck where everyone brings their best dish, sharing food together, and then playing poker while catching up with cousins, aunts, and uncles we haven't seen all year.

My favorite "family" tradition is that we are never just family! We always have another family or individuals join us for Thanksgiving. It's awesome!

My favorite family tradition was just having all the kids home and excited thinking of Christmas..talking about Santa and how he would find them if we'd been transferred again. My kids favorite dish of mine were my mashed potatoes.
Now they are grown and we've miles between us and I've two little grandsons in Illinois whom I try to send your clothes as often as I can. Happy thanksgiving to all of you.. Marcia, Avon,Ct.

I love that everyone gets together. We all live in the same city, but rarely see everyone at the same time. I love that my mom cooks everything (and it's delicious!!)

Getting together with family, be it nuclear or extended is my fave. The day after Thanksgiviing, we go to a local parade as a family -- much fun!
