The White House 101

Many of us gathered in our break room yesterday to watch as our new President was sworn in.

We saw images of the people who came from miles around to brave the cold and witness the event in person. Many people had their children with them and it got us to thinking about our customers and how many of you watched the event on TV with your children, or even made the trip yourselves!

Have your children being learning about the election process in school? Here is a link to fun facts for all ages, the White House 101. If your children have shown an interest in this topic, they might have fun perusing the White House web site for information.

We would love to hear about your experience--were your children interested, or excited about the event? Comment on this post and tell us if you watched the inauguration event with your family.

My three littles joined my hubby and me to watch. While I know the youngest two (ages 2 and 4) didn't understand, they still pointed at the screen and yelled "Bracko" whenever they saw Obama. It was a sweet moment to watch and learn together.

Thanks for posting this link.

I have lived in washington for 30 years and have never seen anything like the positive energy here. It's great to have the kids involved. Thanks for the link.
