I’ve been following Catherine Newman’s weekly posts about her family and parenting since I was pregnant with my first child six years ago. Her writing is hilarious and poignant. She’s at Wondertime (http://wondertime.go.com/) and although she’s recently starting writing about food instead of her children, it’s still great.

After a visit to a lung specialist, the doctor wrote me a prescription for a medication that was supposed to help me quit smoking. The damage I had done to myself by smoking for 30 years was clearly catching up to me. I held on to that prescription for a few days, unsure if I should have it filled. Then I came across this blog:
http://www.blogfabulous.com/chantix/
The information and overwhelming support I received from bloggers here helped me to decide to fill that prescription, take it as directed, and low and behold, I accomplished something I thought I could NEVER do. I have been smoke free for 15 months now and am looking ahead, never behind. I was never one for blogging, but the inspiration and honesty I received on a daily basis from complete strangers has not only changed my opinions, but has actually changed my quality of life! Now I hope to help others do the same.
I visit quite a few, one of my favorites is the pioneerwoman blog, her photography and her cooking are both amazing!
I blog at www.camphomeschool.blogspot.com
One of my favorite blogs for early preschool activities is No Time For Flashcards. Her website is www.notimeforflashcards.com
