We just received your catalogue for the first time. Absolutely LOVE it! I have a 5 yr old little girl who models and loves all things girly! There are too many cute things in this fall line. Even my hard-to-please 9 yr old boy decided there were quite a few things he wanted to order from the fall line. His Faves are the bulldog, guitar and halloween shirts. So many great companies in one spot. Thanks for making your way into our mailbox.

I have already started shopping. We do a lot of looking through catalogs and then order it online. My daughter Abbey just loves horses and again this year CWD has come through with some great outfits. I love to shop so I continue to shop throughout the year. If its not the right season, I just hang it in the closet until it is ready to wear.

We shop for a few special things to begin the school year and then add to our fall pieces as the weather cools.

We have already started shopping for fall clothes - I buy a little bit at a time. I like to get a few staples and cute items at the beginning of the season when all sizes are available and then really stock up as things go on sale.

I try to look at all my favorite catalogs and see whats the cutest and best price. Try to buy things that I can mix and match together. I need very warm clothing because it snows where I live. So if I buy dresses I need tights to go with them. I love the halloween dress with the heart on it! I have started shopping because my kids are alredy back in school!

We're not quite at the "back-to-school" age yet, but if I know myself, I would buy a few things at the beginning of the year and shop throughout the year as needed or as anticipated. I usually shop online and browse sites and catalogues to get ideas of what I want to get!

We shop for back to school clothes & supplies during mid August and as needed throughout the year. I do most of our clothes shopping online while I buy supplies in stores where they are the cheapest.

BTW, we blogged about your contest. :)

I have 3 sweet girly girls to school shop for. One going into 3rd grade, one starting kindergarten and one starting preschool, it's a crazy time at our house. I usually start shopping for school clothes the year before when all the fall stuff goes on sale. I just hope they don't go through a growth spurt during the summer. I have had pretty good luck so far. Then as school gets closer I take each girl out, just the 2 of us and have a "Mom and me" day. We will get some ice cream or get our nails done then go shopping for the last little bit of clothes they might need. It is really a lot of fun and we get some quality time.

I do my shopping about the begining of August. I buy the cheapest pencils, paper, etc. But you have to have Crayola crayons. And the clothes... my daughter is too young to be picky about them rigt now. So we just get things that match and are cute. But not too expensive. You need a durable packback and shoes. So they cost a bit more, as do coats and jackets.

Thanks so much for the opportunity.

Before we buy any clothes for back-to-school, my 3 girls and I have a little fashion show/tea party. We try on all of last year's clothes, plus hand-me-downs from big sisters. (I store all of our off-season clothes in bins, organized by size and season, or we'd never find anything!) Once we know what items we're lacking, we do our shopping through catalogs (CWD Kids included, of course!), and the local stores. The girls like rediscovering their old clothes, and they love the tea party treats!

I have a 12 year old daughter. I like to shop for her throughout the year, but definitely like to stick to one place. I don't like buying from many different stores as the sizes vary. My daughter has special needs so finding good shoes for her is difficult. You have a pretty good selection.

We have started school shopping. We start with shoes and work our way up from there. The kids love looking through catalogs and online for ideas. They always find at least one must have from CWD kids. I usually start with the first day of school outfit before school begins and add what is needed throughout the fall. It's hard to get into cold weather mode when we're still swimming.

We took advantage of the Tax Free Shopping weekend in Virginia to order from the CWD website for our 5 year old son as he prepares for Kindergarten. I've long admired the elegant, fun, and high-quality boys clothes sold by CWD. Our son loved the Solar system shirt, the Saturn shirt, and the fire trucks shirt that shows engines putting out a fire in the chest pocket. I ordered coordinating pants for each. When they arrived, he modeled them for us, and received applause from his 2 1/2 year old brother while I knowingly smiled. With the high quality items sold here, I'm almost certain they'll hold up for hand-me-downs. Thanks for making our back to school shopping a breeze. We'll be back for more!

In Georgia we have started school already and I have done a little school shopping. I will do much more shopping as October arrives and it is time for long pants again. I absolutely love CWD!! I have an 11 year old son that has grown up wearing CWD clothes. I also have TRIPLETS (2 girls and 1 boy) that are 7 years old and have been wearing CWD since birth!! We love the matching outfits for the triplets. I usually coordinate all 4 kids. (It helps with the washing because the like colors all go in the wash at the same time!! I am all about saving time since I am a 1st grade teacher too!)

Nancy L said: My granddaughter has a lot that fit from year to year. We fill in on other stuff gradually, and she was on vacation with her parents and they got her a few things. School supplies are more of a buy the list kind of thing, but real winter stuff we can do more gradually, as they go back in summer stuff really.

We do a little of everything. We love getting the CWD catalogue and finding some reallly fun outfits to wear. We also enjoy going to the mall and picking up a few things as well.

I shop with you year round, often stocking up on past season sale goods that I can pair with pieces from new seasonal lines. We love to purchase family sets for holiday photos I have also enjoyed purchasing goods for other teachers in my school who have infants and siblings' birthdays. We pass the catalog around our school and make wish lists. Thank you for keeping our little girls looking "little" yet fashionable!

It is still pretty warm here after Labor Day,so the kids go back in shorts. We only buy school supplies and new shoes before school starts. We start to look through and mark up the catalogs (CWD and Boden Kids, mostly) and my 11 year old daughter will pick out t-shirts and some dress clothes. She does love the clothes in CWD--cute but not too grown up looking. We don't order until mid September though, when the weather cools.

My daughter's t-shirts, sweaters and dress clothes come almost exclusively from catalogs. We shop the stores for jeans, because fit can be tricky. My 14 year old son is a big online shopper for t-shirts.

tcbmama said...

Every since my daughter started Pre-k in 2005 she awaits the CWD catalog. She sits and flips through it,dog-earring the pages and circling the items she wants most. You guys target girls the best with the horses and kitten items. But she loves it all. And counts the days down to the mailman arrives with her goods for school or holidays. That's usually her special stuff. The bulk of our shopping is done all over, chasing down sales and surrending coupons to children's store and giant stores. Her CWD clothes are her unique items that no one else has, and that's important to her. My sons could care less, they trust me completely to pick out what I want. Be it catalog or store. But back to school clothes time is always something they look forward too. We usually have a family fashion show to show off all the great new digs.
I only purchase what they will need to winter break, because the true cold weather clothes are more pricey and if i wait awhile they'll be on sale by the time we need them. I purchase all shoes over the summer when I can hit a good BOGO sale with incentive coupons beacuse no one buys shoes in the summer...you can get great deals just size up a bit on the kid.
And that's pretty much how we do back to school shopping. Catalog flipping, pinpointing their style then shop shop shop, be it internet, phone or actual trip to the mall. :)

Here in Arizona school has already started. We of course do our BTS shopping last minute--but ideally at least during school supply sales! My husband and are both teachers so end of summer is budget crunch time. SO...we keep an occasional eye peeled during summer for clothes bargains, and fortunately CWDs sales hit at just the right time--after the fall paychecks start!

Naturally Noel said...

Down here in Louisiana, we stay HOT until mid-November. Back-to-school shopping with CWD lets me purchase summer sale items for the Fall, yet purchase new turtlenecks/leggings and corduroys at the same time. We love the matching brother/sister items (I don't think we have taken a Thanksgiving picture yet where they weren't all matching), and my daughter and I also love to dress alike at Halloween with CWD's great Fall selections.
New clothes in the latest styles with great prices are what make Back-to-school time fun! CWD gets an "A+" from our family!

I live in Nashville so it doesn't get cool until after Halloween. That said, we're all set for school (my daughter started first grade Monday.) I did buy a few things at Target and my mother-in-law and mom shopped at Dillards and The Children's Place and WalMart for my daughter...yeah, I know. I'm lucky! ;)

I haven't bought my daughter long sleeve uniform shirts, yet, though.

I LOVE CWD Kids...would love to win this for my girls so I could get them some matching fall/winter outfits!

I don't have kids of my own, but I participate in shopping for my nieces and nephews. They went shopping for backpacks yesterday, no clothes yet. I won't be able to buy them anything until September though. So that makes it different shopping sessions. We don't shop for fall, we'll rather shop for winter.

As far as school uniforms are concerned, I got lucky this year because my daughter still fits hers from last year. I did pick up one extra jumper at Kmart and a dress at Target. My daughter's fall clothes still fit as well, but we did receive hand me downs from nieces and friends.

Since my 3 girls wear uniforms for school, back to school shopping is easy ! We buy the uniforms...then we have a great big budget for clothes, we WANT to buy, not HAVE TO buy ! So there is no rush or pressure ! We can buy special outfits, that may cost a bit more, but are better in quality.

I'm, well, I'll just say it, cheap, but I love nice things for them so I try to buy things that are a great deal for future wear. Buying fall clothes for next fall for the baby girl is fun and she likes to shop with me. Thanks for making a great one stop shop for us! The Uptmor family.

We start our limited shopping at the beginning of August. I always grab the basics, undies and socks, and one or two new outfits. We decided that because it is warm through Sept. that it would be best to wait until school has been in session for a couple of weeks to do the "big" shop. It give the kids time to see what the trends are and for the retailers to do their markdowns so I can get more for my money. By October, we have everything we will need until Santa visits at Christmas.

I have a horrible shopping addiction so I pretty much do bits and pieces all year long with a little extra concentration at the beginning of spring and fall. We shop home shows, online, and local stores. Absolutely love CWD and a $200 gift certificate would be so fun to spend!!

WillW'sMom said...

I don't start shopping for back-to-school until October or November. Until then, my boys wear summer clothes. Then, as the weather turns colder, and we move to jeans and khakis, long-sleeved tees, and sweatshirts, and long john pjs, we know when we get dressed in the morning if something still fits or not. After a couple weeks of this, we know what we need to replace and that's when we sit down and pour over the CWD Kids catalog. It's like an early Christmas!

I have been a childrens clothes shopaholic since the birth of my now 8 year old daughter. She has since been joined by 2 sisters, one is 6 and the other is 2. I always go to trunk shows in my town, as well as shop online and in catalogs. While I do price shop, I am most attracted by originality and style of a clothing item. CWD Kids has a variety of styles that appeal to all my children. I have already started shopping for the fall, and am usually finished by late September. My Spring/Summer shopping will begin in late January already so the cycle goes on. I also tend to always buy extra outfits when Fall items go on sale!

Just got your catalog for the first time and I love it! My daughter is very girly and I
have two boys who love the items as well. I think that I will be doing all of my back to school shopping with you all. I usually try to get my school clothes a little before school starts and definitely have it done by the end of September.

We try to do school shopping all through the year to find the best savings. Not a lot of money on hand lately so we just try to do what we can. I love your catalogs and my youngest daughter buys your clothes for her children all the time.

I've already done so. I like to get great deals online and wait on sales to save the most money that I can, even if it's to shop for the next year. With four kids, you've got to do anything you can to save money in order to have nice things for them. Thanks!

I always shop early for the next season, way before the weather changes. I usually order everything online (hard to shop with two little ones in toe). My 3year old son is very picky & he found several things in the catalogue to order. I spend lots of time surfing to find the cutest clothes, then I order them in spurts not all at once.

I actually don't do a 'bulk' of shopping for back to school. My boys won't be wearing pants or long sleeve shirts until til October or so. I wait until then to buy stuff, and sometimes get even better deals this way!

I always buy a few outfits, a few pairs of shoes and other basics at the beginning of the school year and then add more as the weather gets colder and as I see what clothes my daughter tends to wear the most.

Since my son isn't old enough for school... I just try to buy things when they are on sale. I know what he's running low on (or growing out of) and any time I'm out shopping I just look to see what's available. I have to keep in mind the seasons since he's still pretty young and growing fast.
I'm pretty sure I'll follow my mom's patterns as well. We never got a lot of clothes for "back to school" maybe one outfit. But we did hit the end of season sales, especially as we got older and could wear the clothes for more than one year!

Well, here in Florida, school starts tomorrow! However, my kids go to a private, Catholic school so they start on Tuesday...unless Hurricane Fay hits us! But that aside...our kids are in mandatory uniforms...am I the only one on here with uniforms?! With that said we buy from a local uniform shop. However, I would definitely consider buying pants and shorts from CWD if they sold them...perhaps add a "uniform" section/page with basic khaki & navy pants, shorts, etc? But, I do shop around for the cutest, hippest, quality backpacks, lunch boxes, and school supplies...AND everything that can be monogrammed/personalized is.

I live in the south where it is still hot in October. I usually let my daugher wear her spring and summer clothes back to school I buy her fall and winter clothes closer to the crisp and cool weather. This way I also know what size she is in. An exception is if I see an outfit that is so cute I must buy it and I am nervous it will not be around when I normally shop. I usually buy a size bigger than she is currently in. I have already bought her an outfit from local store that I have not seen on line. I have also been looking on line to see the new lines. I also like to wait to see what other new fall items will come in so that I can choose the ones I like the bet. I will probably wait to buy the rest of her clothes when it is cooler. We love your website! You carry all of our favorite brands.

I have already started and finished our back to school shopping. We have a yearly tradition that started when I was a little girl, we take a whole day and tackle the big list of needed items. I also love to shop the deals and pick up stuff at the end of a season and so we did a little "shopping" in the stash of great deals from the end of last fall and winter. Thanks for the great contest!

I have started back-to-school shopping with some basics for my 1st grade daughter, like socks and comfy pull-on knit pants (she doesn't like to fumble with zippers and buttons). I typically shop all year round, and buy when things are on sale or when I see screaming-clearance deals (often at the end of a season, so I buy for next year). I have bought a few fall clothes (meaning long sleeve shirts), though it will be still too warm to wear them at the start of school. The thing I like to find ahead of time is snow boots and snow pants because the transition from fall to winter is usually abrupt here in Minnesota and you never know when you will wake up to snow on the ground.

Your clothes are much more unique than almost anything I find in stores. I love the girls dresses and swimsuits. My oldest children have outgrown your clothes (they are 11 and 12), but luckily I have a new baby girl that I can now buy for! We haven't started shopping yet, we like to wait till it becomes a little cooler, but I love the fact that your clothes for boys are colorful and original. Unlike most boy clothes that I find in stores that are mostly black or darkly colored. I also appreciate the fact that most of your girl clothes are made to suit the girl's age. It's nice to find a place where the company doesn't go with the current trend but says that a little girl should look like a little girl and not a teenager. Thank you so much for that, and thank you for such quality clothing and great catalog. The Gold Family

I have not started shopping for back to school clothing yet because it is still too hot here in North Carolina. My daughter tends to grow more towards the end of the summer, so I will buy her clothes when it cools off some. I usually buy her clothing from home shows, online and at the mall. I love to by her a variety of clothing pieces from many different places. I love your clothing and can't wait until my one month old son gets big enough to wear it too!

I have a 7 and a 9 year old who both enjoy wearing the latest styles. I enjoy ordering online because sometimes it's too difficult to get out to the stores with the kids and spend hours shopping. I enjoy looking through the magazines and getting ideas for outfits. The kids like to circle what they want and let me know I can put it on "the list" of things to do.

There is never a time I am not shopping for back to school, or summer or winter or spring...you get the idea. When we see something we like, we get it. It's an ongoing love of fun, cute clothes for me and my kids. When your catalog comes I am like a kid in a candy store. All the cute colors, designs, it's so fun! And you have so many great brands to choose from. I love shopping online because I can find what I like and in the sizes I need quickly. When there is a box at my front door it's a very exciting moment for me and my kids. What came? What will I wear first? I love back to school time because Fall is my favorite time of year, and 1 Halloween shirt is never enough! Big soft sweaters and the idea of falling into the leaves is the best! Thank you for making it all so easy. The best name brands in one spot! Who could ask for more? Best Regards-The Klein's
